Our Company
Commercial Properties, Inc. (CPI) was established in Portland, Maine in 1981 to engage in the leasing and sales of commercial and industrial property primarily in Northern New England. Since that time the firm has been involved in the sale or leasing of over $500,000,000 of such properties including retail developments throughout the United States, industrial and warehouse buildings, land sales, subdivisions (industrial and multi-family), office buildings, and multi-family apartment projects.
Since 2005, CPI has concentrated it’s activities in the area of acquisition and development of commercial property in New England, Arizona, and US Virgin Islands. CPI owns approximately 1,600,00 SF, and through Silver Street Development Corporation over 8,000 apartment units.

Richard J. McGoldrick, Chairman, CEO
Mr. McGoldrick has been involved in the real estate business for over 30 years. He founded CPI in 1978.

He has initiated or participated in the development of over 4,000,000 S.F. of commercial space in Maine, and currently owns over 1,000,000 s.f. He is also a founder and officer of Commercial Properties Management LLC, which manages 46 properties in Maine; and Silver Street Development Corporation , which owns over 6,000 apartment units in 13 States. McGoldrick is active in the community as: a member of the Board of the Finance Authority of Maine (Chair 2000-2002); co-chair of the Annual Auction of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Portland; a founder and former President of the Maine Real Estate and Economic Development Association; a founder and Board Member of the Maine Business Alliance; Board Member of: Pet Health Network; Maine Center for Creativity; Coastal Ventures and several other civic, business and charitable organizations.

Beginning with the redevelopment of the Hannaford Store on Maine Street in Brunswick in 1993, Dan has since been involved in the development of the Androscoggin Savings Bank and the acquisition and renovation of the Tontine Mall both on Maine Street in Brunswick. In addition, he spearheaded the development of several lots at the Topsham Fair Mall including the Wendy’s Restaurant, the 99 Restaurant, Goodwill and Winner’s Cirlce, including Starbucks, US Cellular, H&R Block, Athletes Foot, The UPS Store. Dan has been working with Commercial Properties, Inc. since 1998. His primary focus is on the Mid-Coast Maine area. He recently represented Bath Iron Works as the exclusive broker for the deposition of its surplus property; the Times-Record in the sale - lease back of its facilities in Brunswick; and several other projects in the Bath/Brunswick market.

Erik Urbanek
Erik Urbanek has been a member of the Maine business community for close to 20 years.

Originally from Northern Maine, Mr. Urbanek apprenticed under the late Edigio Costales, at the Seamens Club Restaurant , before returning to Aroostook County to open his own eatery. After several years in the restaurant industry, Mr. Urbanek began a career in sales in the late 90’s with the Prime Automotive Group of Saco. He joined Commercial Properties in 2002, and today specializes in the leasing and management of Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Urbanek is currently working towards his C.C.I.M. designation.
